Colombian coca plant farmers to receive special recognition at National Farmers’ Day Awards

A number of Colombian farmers who grow coca plant- the raw material for the manufacture of cocaine- will be honoured at today’s National Farmers’ Day Awards, according to reports.

The special award, according to the event organisers, has been sponsored by an ‘Austrian-Ghanaian philanthropist who wishes to remain anonymous.’ The Columbian farmers will be awarded with diplomatic passports provided by ‘friends of this Austrian-Ghanaian philanthropist.’

As part of the award, the South American farmers will also be presented with a special citation which reads, ‘….in recognition of your tireless efforts in providing our VVIP lounge users with high grade products to fill their handbags.’
