Bawumia quits politics to pursue career as a prophet

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a leading member of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) has reportedly drawn the curtains on his political career to pursue a new career as a prophet.

The sudden change in career is in response to a “divine calling,” according to a close aide of the former NPP Vice Presidential candidate. “He realised his true calling as soon as his prophesy about Ghana going for an IMF bailout came to pass.”

In March this year, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia delivered a lecture on the state of the economy where he said the economy was in crisis, prophesying that “if government does not take the right decisions and soon, then Ghana would likely have to approach the IMF for a bailout before the end of the year.”

The announcement earlier this week by government to open talks with IMF about a bailout makes Dr. Bawumia one of the very few in the Ghanaian prophesying industry whose prophesies about a future event has actually come to pass. This development is believed to have emboldened the NPP stalwart to give up politics for a career in the prophesying industry.

As per the practice in the Ghanaian prophesying industry, Dr. Bawumia will assume a plethora of new titles. He will be addressed as Prophet Bishop Overseer Commander Papa Dr. Bawumia. He is expected to pull in the crowds as he goes into this new career with a 100 percent success rate. He will be unlike many of the old faces in the industry who have been unsuccessful at foretelling the outcomes of football games, boxing matches or commanding the Ghanaian Cedi to rise from the doldrums.
