Church sues gov’t over name of newly created Ministry of Power

The founder and CEO of Holy Gospel Anointed Mountain Of Abundant Faith and Blessings International Believers Ministries, Reverend Archbishop Major General Dr. T. B. Duncan-Judas has reportedly filed a complaint against the government alleging trademark infringement of the nickname of his church.

T. B. Duncan-Judas claims the unauthorised use of the name “Ministry of Power” is likely to “confuse and deceive potential church-goers to travel to the offices of the government ministry” instead of his church auditorium. The leader of the church explained he is “expecting a large turn out during this Christmas season and does not want anything to divert traffic from the church services.”

The lawsuit also claims false advertising by the government for labelling this ministry as “new” when in fact all they have done is “cloned a goat and called it a lion.”

The leader of Holy Gospel Anointed Mountain Of Abundant Faith and Blessings International Believers Ministries said he “doesn’t want his church to be associated in any way with a con, a mere rebranding of an old ministry which has presided over the nation’s worsening energy problems.”
