One of the 12 judges implicated in the ongoing judicial corruption scandal has petitioned an Accra High Court to force the Ministry of Roads and Transport to block off all access routes to the Accra International Conference Centre.
This is the latest in a series of last-ditch attempts by the beleagued judges to prevent the premiere of ‘Ghana in The Eyes of God’- an investigative documentary by journalists Anas Aremeyaw Anas which exposes widespread corruption within Ghana’s judicial service.
The judge, who has previously jailed an individual based on evidence from another Anas-led investigative documentary, argues that the members of the judiciary should be given special treatment. “Show videos of corruption at the Tema port. Show videos of corruption at the DVLA but don’t you dare show a judge selling justice for a goat and a few tubers of yam.”
“All animals are equal but some are more equal than others,” he added.
