The Parliamentary Service Board has confirmed that all members of parliament will undertake a mandatory refresher course in Stand Up Comedy while the house is on recess.
The board which is responsible for the day-to-day running of parliament said the Stand Up Comedy refresher course will ensure the house maintains its image as the nation’s top jocular institution. “This course will ensure that MPs update and fine tune their comedy skills while away from the house. The just ended meeting of parliament which began on May 12, 2015 and ended on July 24, 2015 has produced some exceptional level of comedy acts and we hope to maintain that high standard,” explained a member of the board.
Another member of the board said “members of the public can expect high quality comic displays when parliament resumes in a few weeks time.”
The 3-day intensive course will be run by renowned Ghanaian and Nigerian comedy professionals.
