The Devil is Behind #DumsorMustStop Vigil – Power Minister

The Minister of Power, Dr Kwabena Donkor, has descended heavily on the organisers of the #DumsorMustStopVigil. He said this is simply ‘a publicity stunt by a bunch of so-called celebrities who have reached the end of their lacklustre and pitiful careers.’

‘These people have too much time on their hands. And as you know, the devil finds work for the idle hands,’ the minister said in an interview on an Accra-based radio station. He said that the actresses should be using their spare time to rehearse for their movies, instead of allowing the devil to influence them to do Akufo-Addo’s dirty job. He threatened that government will continue to ignore their demands until they start winning Oscars and Grammy awards.

‘My brother, have you seen any of their movies?’ he said in the interview, ‘It’s appalling! How can they expect the president to listen to them when they produce such movies? And that Sarkodie boy too, you can’t even hear what he says in his songs.’

He explained that the Mahama administration is a serious government, and only deals with people who put their hearts into what they do. ‘That is why when appointees in our government create and loot, they do so wholeheartedly!’

Meanwhile, his colleague, Hon Ebenezer Teye Larbi, MP for Lower Manya Krobo, has endorsed the statements of Dr Donkor. ‘The Better Ghana Agenda is on course,’ said Hon Larbi. ‘If you’re a poor man, you’re not our co-equal. Don’t come and say Tweaa to us! Some people just want to make noise. Others are talking so you also want to talk. You don’t even have a TV at home. Even common bulb, you don’t have. What are you going to do with the electricity even if you get it?
