The Ministry of Labor and Employment has apparently reported that it has processed the outstanding salaries of 348 psychiatric nurses who went on strike. The same article reports that the salaries of 7,900 nurses are being processed for payment.

Another published report states that 133 (psychiatric?) nurses are to be paid outstanding arrears, including their September 2015 salaries?

Confused? So are we! Biara biara journalism at its best- can’t write, can’t add and definitely can’t ask the right questions. But let’s not work up the blood pressure over this. The nurses are on strike, remember?

Here are some more numbers to chew over. The Ministry of Finance has reported today that Ghana’s 4th Eurobond has been over subscribed with orders exceeding $2 billion compared to the target of $1 billion.

Yesterday, a media report stated that investors were unwilling to offer a lower yield on the $1.5 billion Eurobond due in part to Ghana’s unprecedented external debt and concerns over pre election spending. A road show to London, San Francisco, Boston, Los Angelos and New York had apparently failed to reassure investors.

Again the numbers don’t add up but who cares about accuracy and credibility when we can photoshop ourselves to utopia. Ghana dey be k3k3!
