MANCHESTER- The Glazers are set to appoint Ghana’s first choice goalie, The Great Olele, as the new manager of Manchester United after David Moyes’ side lost 2-1 to Sunderland in the Capital One Cup semi-final last nite.
The result was the first time in 13 years the Red Devils have suffered three successive defeats.
The American owners of the English club are believed to have lost faith in David Moyes and will announce the appointment of the Ghanaian shortly.
Olele, who is currently playing in the Cypriot First Division, was reportedly recommended to the Glazers by the 76 year old United legend, Sir Bobby Charlton, who happens to be Olele’s godson.
Olele was reportedly picked up by a private jet at a local airport in Cyprus and flown to Manchester early this morning, where he is currently believed to be in talks with the owners and directors of the Premier League champions.
Our sources at Old Trafford reports that the final agreement will be signed as soon as the club officials can confirm the age of Olele, a task which is proving rather difficult. A team of archaeologists has therefore been summoned to determine his actual age using Carbon-14 dating.
Reports also indicate that a group of excited fans who got wind of the news have gathered outside the club’s stadium, chanting Olele’s name. One excited fan said: “We know Olele is the only one who can save our club. He will put the old back in Old Trafford.”
