A 50 year old man who tripped over a microphone cable and mysteriously landed in a hotel bathroom with a teenage girl has received prayers from one of Ghana’s most renowned preachers, Reverend Archbishop Major General Dr. T. B. Duncan-Judas.
The prayer was in response to a plea made by the said man in a statement in which he invoked a defence of sin, catapulting the case from the reach of earthly courts to the divine. The statement was released immediately after the teenager surprisingly adopted a “fama Nyame” approach to a case which has caused many vociferous Ghanaian social media commentators to lose their sharp tongues.
The founder and CEO of Holy Gospel Anointed Mountain Of Abundant Faith and Blessings International Believers Ministries did not mince his words when he opened his mouth to pray. “We pray for him, for he is only a man. Although he wears make up, he’s still a man. How dare we judge a 50 year old man for falling prey to a predatory teenage girl. He is only a man, like you and I. That is why we join together to lift our voices to say “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.”
“To those who wish to throw the first stone, we ask; Do you not know it is abominable to condemn male sexual immorality? Do you not know a man deserves a pat on the back for bedding a woman within minutes of their first encounter? Do you not know the man should be labelled a legend and the woman a slag? Do you not know the female temptress is always to blame? Do they not know objectifying female colleagues is the norm in our work places?”
T. B. Duncan-Judas also advised politicians- who form a large part of his congregation, to invoke the defence of sin whenever they accused of wrongdoing. “When you’re hastily accused, tried and sentenced on radio and Facebook for allegedly chopping money, just weep like Elvis and say you have prayed for forgiveness for your sins. Then challenge your accusers to cast the first stone if they have never ever sinned in their lives.”
