Armed robbers and petty thieves donate to Police

Mr. Atta Ayi, the chairman of the Association of Armed Robbers and Petty Thieves has donated an amount of GH¢100,000 to the Police administration, in support of the establishment of a new special anti-crime unit.

The chairman said the donation will go towards setting up a new  law enforcement unit to tackle armed robbery and petty theft in cities and towns across the country. Mr. Ayi disclosed that the donation was in response to an appeal by the police administration to raise funds to fight crime.

DSP Kofi Shameless, who received the donation on behalf of the police administration expressed his gratitude to the robbers and petty thieves, adding that “their kind gesture will be remembered.”

Mr. Atta Ayi, on his part, reminded the police administration “not to bite the hand that feeds it.”
