Kwesi Appiah asks Muntari, Boateng for character reference

Kwesi Appiah, who has recently been re-appointed as the Black Stars coach, has asked Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng for a character reference, after the Ghana FA requested “at least two references” as part of a mandatory HR procedure.

The FA’s spokesman explained that they are “looking for written evidence of Kwesi Appiah’s general ineptitude, timidity, cluelessness and more importantly, his willingness to allow FA officials to apply the co-efficient formula for sharing appearance fees.” The spokesman, who admitted that the request for a character reference should have been made prior to the announcement of Appiah’s appointment, explained that the “reference should be from individuals who have previously worked with Kwesi Appiah.”

A source close to Kwesi Appiah said the 56-year old is expecting “nothing short of a glowing character reference” adding that “Muntari and Boateng will be more than happy to vouch for Appiah’s timidity and willingness to allow the FA to freely apply the co-efficient formula.”
